d. March 1860 - Moscow, shortly after giving birth to a son.

Born with a congenital condition of generalized hypertrichosis terminalis.

This and the following cabinet photograph were long believed to have been of Julia Pastrana in life.

It is now known that these were photographs taken of her preserved body.
